THESE ARE THE TOP 7 INDIE GAMES FOR 2021

2020 is coming to an end, and it seems like a dull year for the gaming world so far. However, many companies have worked hard, collaborated well as a team, and come up with the best possible, thrillingly exciting games. This means good news! 2021 is just around the corner and is going to be the year of new Indie games. If you’re a gamer, you know that Indie games are considered the best, most original, creative, and action-packed offerings that game-makers have for you. Hoping that this year will be interesting, sit back and see the coolest and most awaited games for 2021. Here’s our annual list of the seven most promising, engaging, and most intriguing upcoming Indies to look out for.

DEATHLOOP

The premise for Deathloop, a PS5 exclusive, is exceptionally compelling. It is like a time loop where you are stuck, and you have to find and kill eight people who are keeping you trapped. There’s a female assassin who is going to stop you too. The twist in this game is more like the ‘Edge of Tomorrow,’ and that’s the best part. The rival assassin Julianna can be played by another human player, making it even more fun in the PvP gameplay. This is also one title that will take full advantage of the PS5 DualSense controller’s haptic feedback. The recent announcement of a release date of May 2021 has us excited for Deathloop’s launch on PS5 and PC. Do not miss out on this one.

DRAGON HUNTER

If you ever wished to hunt down warrior dragon ultimate flying in a jungle for a world war of dragon’s vs. human battle, play this ultimate super Dragon Hunter. This game is all set to release in 2021, on January 6th, and you will find it on the play store. Experience the infinite monster power dragons flying in jungle and city to hunt you down, survive a dragon attack, and shoot with your master dragon shooting skills in a real hunting game. Jump into the world of mythological monsters like Hydra, Griffon, Vampire, Troll, Manticora, and more to hunt for them and win your share of rewards. Talking about the experience, we can guarantee you that you will have multiple gaming modes with realistic weapons and stunning graphics. This is the best time for you to control the monster jungle warfare to get rid of wild, angry demons with a power attack of fireballs on animals of the jungle and human of your world.

EASTWARD

This Indie project was supposed to release in 2020 but was delayed due to reasons unknown to us. So let us hope that 2021 is the year when we finally get to inhabit the post-apocalyptic world of Eastward. Inspired by 90s Japanese animation, this game is adventurous, where you guide protagonists. At the same time, they make their way through a decaying urban landscape full of quirky characters, weird monsters, and many hidden areas. You need to solve puzzles to unlock these secret areas and the clues hidden in them. This is one of the most exciting storytelling Indie games that promises hours of great storytelling combined with fun gameplay, so definitely keep your eye out for it.

THE ASCENT

We think Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly going to be a fantastic game, but there are other cyberpunk games that we have been looking forward to as well. The Ascent is one such game. It is another prime Xbox release that combines Diablo-like isometric exploration and cyberpunk aesthetic combats. Besides the obvious cyberpunk roots, The Ascent also gives off old-school Fallout and Wasteland vibes, and although it’s in an overhead view, the visuals look flat-out gorgeous. If you like to play with a buddy, you’ll like the co-op gameplay that enables up to four people to join together. Maybe best of all, The Ascent will be a Game Pass title when it comes out, so you have no reason not to check it out.

KENA: BRIDGE OF SPIRITS

A PlayStation console exclusive, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, was supposed to come out in 2020 but, like many games, was delayed by COVID. Let’s hope the new March 2021 launch date holds, and we get to play this amazing-looking game by Spring. The visuals are shaping up to be a showcase of what the next-gen consoles can deliver, and judging by the footage we’ve seen so far, Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be a title that makes you glad you upgraded. But even for PS4 and PC players, the beautiful, rich environments and a cute cast of characters will make exploring this sprawling open-world adventure a rare treat.

STRAY

We initially got to know of Stray, the future cyberpunk investigation game from BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive, as a surprise release during Sony’s PS5 divulging in June 2020. From the very beginning, this game’s neon urban world had us mentally yelling with excitement, not to mention the fact that you play as a cute kitty wearing an adorable little backpack. This gameplay is possibly set in an Asian city where cats seem to be seen a lot. This game is set on a third-person view and might be released sometime in 2021 on PS4, PS5, and PC. Let’s wait to go cray for Stray!

ROAD RASH 3D: SMASH RACING

Road Rash 3D is an over-the-top, knock-down motorcycle fighting game that examines your ability on a range of badass bikes. Race, fight, dodge traffic with blazing fast speed, and zoom down a busy highway passing by cars, and hustle your way through the ranks of a bandit motorbike gang. This game is suitable for players that want to take a tactical strategy to race as this requires more than simply speed. You will need to analyze your bike’s resistance to terrains and attacks, as well as your capabilities in knocking your enemies. Altogether, the game magnifies the fun of racing for both random players and expert gamers. Now it is time to hit the roads with a motorcycle, do whatever it takes to be the top racer!
